Builds
All cars must be built to the build regulations stated in the Eligible Cars thread. Any drivers found to be using an illegal build will have their points voided for any rounds up to that point.
Liveries
All cars must meet the livery requirements as laid out in the Livery Requirements thread, this is because we use our race media as a marketing tool and it helps sustain Challenge. Any drivers who are seen to be using cars that do not meet livery requirements may be subject to penalties.
Contact
Contact between cars that has caused either damage, or effected someone's race result notably can be looked into by the race stewards at request of any drivers involved. The launch an investigation you will need to have a replay of the race, or recorded game clips.
Incidents deemed as racing incidents where both or neither party is at fault do not carry a penalty.
Incidents deemed to be avoidable contact will carry a 10 point penalty per car that has been damaged or affected. Three instances of avoidable contact will have you moved to the back of the grid for the next race. Further avoidable contact may net you a disqualification or race ban.
Incidents deemed as deliberate or attempted deliberate contact will carry a race disqualification. Two instances of deliberate contact in one season carry a race ban. Three or more instances carry a series ban.
Travelling in the incorrect direction at any point on track, or deliberately causing an obstruction will carry a disqualification. Further instances will be treated in the same was as deliberate contact.
Pitting
This series requires that every driver make a minimum of one pit stop each race, unless the driver does not finish.
You can pit at any time during the race during green or yellow flag conditions.
You cannot pit during a red flag.
Pitting at the end of your final lap does not count as a mandatory pit stop.
Quickstops will not be enabled for this race, so if you do not pit, you will be subject to a race disqualification.
When preparing to pit, if there is a car behind you showing with the indicator arrows, you must inform the driver that you are entering the pit.
Flags
At Challenge, everyone must be in the same chat channel as sometimes the steward team are required to call various flags to adjust the state of the race during certain incidents. It is only the race stewards that can activate a flag, but competitors may request a change in flag to a steward after an incident has occurred.
>Green Flag - Normal racing conditions
>Yellow "Caution" flag - No overtaking, leader must slow down to 60-70MPH and the rest of the field bunch up behind at pace speed. Called after there has been a collision damaging 2 or more cars on track and causing them to be unable to get to race speed, or if there is a damaged car causing an obstruction that needs to be moved. Passing under a caution flag can result in receiving a penalty if the tack position is not handed back. You cannot pass cars that are a lap down. You may pass cars that are limping to the pits and are off the racing line. Yellow flags are ended by calling a green flag, this only happens on a start/finish straight.
>Red flag - Cars travel around the track under yellow flag conditions, but stop on the starting grid. Called after there is a substantial obstruction on the track that must be cleared. Red flags can only be followed by a yellow flag, to warm tires and get everyone up to pace. A green flag cannot follow a red flag.
>Chequered flag - The race is complete, and cars should pull up after the start finish line in their finishing order. Called once there is not enough time left of the timer for any cars to complete a further lap
>Blue flag - The only flag that can be called by any drivers. To be called when a car is coming up to lapped traffic, to inform the lapped traffic of it's presence and letting them know to stay on their racing line and not obstruct the lapping car. The lapping car must still find its way around.
Chat Channels
Everyone in the race must be in the same chat channel. When we have less than 16 drivers, we can use an XBL party. If you drop out of the party, you must pit or pull safely off the track to a safe distance away and reconnect. If there are more than 16 people are in the race, or party chat is struggling, we will have to use game chat.
Whilst idle conversation and having a laugh is encouraged, this should not obstruct calling any changes of race flag state. Arguing should be kept well out of the chat channel, and coming into party just to start arguments is strictly not permitted.
